The Warren County Pollinator Protectors have installed and currently maintain several garden sites. Explore updates for each project site.
Swayze Mill Park
WCPP helped beautify the six exercise stations found within Swayze Mill Park.

WCPP has several projects at Swayze Mill Pond. Members of WCPP mowed through walls of invasive mugwort. The township has since agreed to maintain the mowing to prevent the mugwort from growing back. WCCP planted native trees at this site which the group regularly maintains.
There are six exercise stations on the path around Swayze Mill Pond. The team cleared weeds and prepped the area for mulch so that it could be ready for Hope's annual community picnic and to inspire others to get involved.
In a different area of the park, WCPP installed a habitat enhancement deemed Gazebo Garden. Invasive plants were removed and the team covered the site with black plastic to keep the invasives at bay until the fall when the group will return to plant native flowers and shrubs.
Several years ago, the Hope Township Committee assisted in the initial tree planting at this site. WCPP has committed to enhancing the native tree habitat at this site through regular upkeep and maintenance. Native trees at this site include:
Eastern Redbud
Pin Oak
Persimmon
Sugar Maple
Red Maple
And more!
